Can you believe it’s already November? We’ve rounded up our favourite merch and promo products that have either landed on our radar, were released in October 2021, or are planned for upcoming release.
1. Squid Game
Television series “Squid Game” has taken the world by storm, becoming Netflix’s biggest launch with 111 million views in its first month. Squid Game inspired costumes were expected to be popular for Halloween, leaving retailers scrambling to design, create, and stock the contestant tracksuits and guard jumpsuits in time.
Netflix, supplying the official merch for the show, has no tracksuits or jumpsuits in its current lineup, but does have inspired pieces and Funko Pop collectibles. Have you watched the series yet?
2. Popeyes x Megan Thee Stallion
After the success of McDonald’s collaboration with Korean boy band BTS (their sales went up 25% in the US!), more fast food restaurants are turning to collaborations with pop culture icons.
In the latest, Popeyes tapped rapper Megan Thee Stallion for a partnership that not only includes a limited edition Hottie Sauce and custom merchandise, but also a six-figure donation to Houston Random Acts of Kindness. The organization is a non-profit focused on helping children with disabilities, the homeless, elders and veterans.
The Hottie sauce is a bold sweet and spicy mix inspired by Meg’s personality, and can be ordered with the nuggets and chicken sandwich for the perfect “hot girl lunch”. Merch includes swimwear, drinkware, and other apparel.
3. A&W High End Apparel
Watch out, “hot girl summer”! A&W is determined to make fall the “cheddar weather” with its new collection of high-end fall apparel created with independent artisans. With a vintage feel, the collection ranges anywhere from $25 to $715 and features pieces in A&W’s brown and orange color scheme.
One of the standouts is this $500 letterman jacket created with Ohio-based Universal Lettering Co., and features stitched on patches for fans to rep their favourite burger chain.
4. Whataburger’s “Whatacooler”
This special-edition cooler was made in partnership with cooler manufacturer Igloo, allowing fans to keep their drinks cold and crisp while enjoying their hot burgers. The cooler features the chain’s signature orange and white stripes, and can hold up to 30 cans of soda. Now that’s how you do a tailgate!
5. Arby’s Smoked Sweats
For those who love the smell of smoked meat, good news—Arby’s has the sweats for you! To celebrate the launch of their Real Country Style Rib Sandwich, Arby’s launched burgundy sweatpants and sweatshirts designed to smell like hickory-smoked meat. Since they’re not kidding about this concept, the sweats are vacuum-sealed onsite to preserve the smoky scent.
6. Chatime Bubble Tea Sleeve
For the bubble tea enthusiasts, Chatime released a limited edition bubble tea sleeve to celebrate the launch of their new signature drink, the Golden Aged Milk Tea. Free with this drink purchase in British Columbia, these sleeves are perfect for toting cold cups around without the mess of condensation!
7. Starbucks’ Holiday Tumblers
Fan favourites such as the Bling Cup are back, but the jewel toned tumblers are also becoming a top favourite! While released for the holiday season, these would also be perfect for summer trips, or when life needs an extra sparkle.
8. Tolmar Wireless Charging Pad
Pharmaceutical company Tolmar wanted to create a kit that celebrated its expansion in Canada, and we were fortunate enough to collaborate with them for this project that included a backpack, Corkcicle tumbler, and wireless charging pad.
Focusing on advancing patient care through science and service, the company values are boldly inscribed on the charging pad to inspire employees and remind them about the importance of their work.
